Description
A light lime green open field is centered by a pale salmon medallion and is clasped by en suite quarter corners. The edges of these elements are roughly and irregularly drawn as if the weavers were following their own inclinations. The main border is similarly undisciplined. This circa 1900 carpet has the offbeat colour palette characteristic of the period. The weave is coarse, but the condition is generally quite good.
