Description
Cleverly composed and distinctively well-balanced, this hand knotted wool distressed antique Persian Malayer runner features an all-over Herati design. The Classic Herati pattern, also known as the Mahi or Fish pattern, is amongst the most widespread and well known of all Persian designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. It is enclosed with a leafy meander border flanked with an inner and outer guard band.
